My heartfelt sympathy for the entire Cheek family and for those that were close to him, as I'm sure there were many. He was such an exuberant and effervescent person!! It has been a very long while since I had seen Gary, but my remembrance of him was that smile of his that was so infectious!!! Rejoice up in heaven Mr. Gary!! We will see you, again, one day! ♥

Uncle Gary, All I have are great memories with you. You used to come down to the Ice Cream Shop I worked at on Fort Myers Beach and we would always chat it up over a scoop of Ice Cream! I will never forget your laugh, and your laugh was very contagious. Always willing to help my parents with moving. Nobody can pack a truck like you! You always treated my mother with kindness and respect, and I truly appreciate that. Gary, you will always have a special place in my heart and you will be remembered until we meet again in heaven.

On hearing that Gary has gone on to be with the Lord, my heart and prayers are with the family here. We experienced the death of our dad in November 2018 and the memories are fresh. A few decades ago, I think of Gary coming with Brian to pick me up in Farley and to take us to youth group at ICF. And our visits when I would return to ICF to share an update on my life as a missionary in Africa. Gary had an impact on my life and many others.
