I'm sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful woman, she was full of light, and one of my fondest memories are when I would be invited over to her house with my cousins Abbie and Phillip. I also remember a winter when I went over with Abbie, I think Phillip and I think Debbie too (it was long ago, forgive me for not remembering everyone who went with me). Abbie and Philip's other cousins were over there, we got into snowball fights and built fortresses. After the snowball fight, everyone went in, sat by the fire and had hot chocolate made by Mrs. Coval. I also remember when she would come to my Aunt Debbie and Chip's house for various holidays. She was always pleasant, never had a mean bone in her body. She will always be missed.

Sherry Coval left a message on October 27, 2020:
I am saddened to hear of this news. The last time I was able to see Aunt Joan when i was up for a visit, I almost assumed she would not recognize me. I could not have been more wrong, and am so grateful to have spent a bit of time with her that day. When I think of Aunt Joan I remember always feeling warmth and love when I was near her. I loved our Coval Thanksgivings and Christmas celebrations together as a child, and remain to feel a gap around these holidays after our move to Florida many years ago due to the loss of these precious times with family. Aunt Joan taught me how to catch crawdads and minnows with a kitchen strainer in the little creek down the hill, and a memory I somehow remember are small Holly Hobby chocolate chip cookies she kept in her oven that I would get as a treat. This planet has lost a truly wonderful person, one I am proud to have called my Aunt. I send all of my love to Debra Sue, Diana, Gary and family today and every day. Peace and Blessings, Sherry
