Donna Duke Burns left a message on March 12, 2020:
I look out a window and it pains me to know you are no longer on this earth. It hurts to know I have to go on without you, but you are free. When I got the news you passed, I looked at the stars, through my tears and I realized you are free. I am glad you no longer have to suffer, it is heartbreaking that it meant letting you go. You will always be the one taught me to be a mom, to work in my yard, to strip furniture and do remodeling. I will always remember the grocery shopping trips and how you never met a stranger. Your love for others to help them, your love for animals, your love for your family, your funny side will always be remembered. I will forever be grateful I was chosen to be one of your children. I will think of you often and I am sure it will hurt but it is because of the love. I love you more than I can find words to describe.
