I am so sorry for your loss. Vera was also such a kind and gentle soul and she will be greatly missed. She was one of my favorite people at St. Alphonsus and I was blessed to get to know her better being on staff at the Reserve. Peace and prayers to you and your family!

Judie Baker King left a message on July 29, 2020:
Dear Casper Family, I have such fond memories of your family and the years that our family was involved in Zionsville Basketball (Ed Baker). Your mom and dad always made us feel as if we were part of your family. We all enjoyed many great times in the big brown house where you all grew up. I remember Stacey and Scott babysitting for our Carleton and Kristin at our farm. Vera made Kristin a small Zionsville green blanket to replace “yewwo bankie” that she carried to ballgames. Kristin still has her green blanket with things she saved for her children. Oddly, I thought of your family about a week ago. I wondered if Jim and Vera were still living. This morning I got my answer when I saw her beautiful smiling face in the newspaper. I am so sorry for your loss. Both of your parents were wonderful, as are all of you! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love, Judie Baker King

I loved your Mother, she was such a sweet lady inside and out. In my teenage years I use to babysit for her children. My mother-in-law was at the Zionsville Meadows and during our visits, we also would visit Jim. What a great couple they were and will be truly missed. Our deepest sympathy to your family. Fondest thoughts & prayers. Becky & Gary Smith
